Responsibilities Would include:

  • To respond to Customer inquiries acquired either in the store or over the phone.
  • Providing the customers with superior product knowledge and personal service.
  • Detail oriented regarding paperwork when doing quotes, pick tickets and invoicing product, thru our POS system (SILK)
  • Qualifying sales leads prior to giving the lead to the installation department.
  • Processes all sales, quotes and pick tickets through a computerized Point of Sale software program.
  • Maintaining their assigned rotating tasks such the cleaning rotation schedule, aisle maintenance, flooring showroom and the flooring sample room.
  • Ensure products are in the correct location and properly signed with correct information (price and description).
  • Keeping track of leads, closures and lost jobs and reporting to management.
  • Increase your product knowledge with help from other staff, sales reps and product brochures.
  • Adhere to staff schedules posted.
  • Attend staff meetings and product knowledge meetings.
  • During certain times of the year overtime will be expected for special events such as but not limited to home shows, Anniversary sales and inventory.
  • Undertakes other tasks assigned by management

How do I qualify?

  • Knowledge of building materials and hardware.
  • Interior/exterior door experience is an asset.
  • Experience with a computer point-of-sale system.
  • High attention to detail.
  • Excellent listening and communication skills.
  • Comfortable with developing relationships and maintaining service-based customer relationships.
  • Excellent customer follow-up skills and tenacity.
  • Strong organizational skills

We are currently seeking the right person to join us at our Victoria manufacturing plant as a SALES REPRESENTATIVE.

This position is primarily a business to business sales and sales support role working in the sales offices at our manufacturing plant. This position services primarily commercial clients via phone and email. This position will lead, after the first year, into a blended inside/outside sales role with travel to visit commercial clients at their place of business on average one day a week.

Responsibilities include:

How do I qualify?

  • Experience providing sales and sales support in a business to business environment (wholesale/distribution/manufacturing), knowledge of building materials an asset but not mandatory.
  • Experience with a computer point-of-sale system.
  • Comfort with Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
  • High attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills, being able to liaise with all stakeholders from clients to plant and sales management as well as colleagues.
  • Comfortable with developing relationships and maintaining service-based client relationships.
  • Excellent client follow-up skills and tenacity.
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Demonstrated initiative and the ability to learn quickly, goal oriented.
  • Class 5 driver’s license.

Job Type: Full-time, Monday to Friday, office hours

Salary: $45 000.00 to $60 000.00 /year

  • able to stand on a concrete floor for a good portion of the day * have the ability to push, pull, reach, bend and twist throughout the work day
  • Excellent math skills
  • Experience with chop saw an asset
  • Experience in wood shop an asset
  • Experience grading wood an asset
  • Steel toed shoes/boots

Hours of Work & Compensation: Year round work 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday – Friday. 2 x 15 min. coffee breaks; 1 x 30 min lunch break Benefits Vacation (2 weeks after 1 year; 3 weeks after 5 years)

Wage: $14.00 to $17.00 per hour.

We Are currently seeking the right person to join us at the Victoria branch manufacturing plant as a WAREHOUSE RECEIVER

This position require the candidate to maintain a smooth flow of materials into our facility; ensure accurate tally of inbound lumber, materials & product; participate in Physical Inventory Counts as well as manage product on a daily basis to provide appropriate stock to various departments. The Receiver must have the ability to tally accurately, be detail oriented and have knowledge of LF and BF measurements. The successful applicants must be able to work under minimum supervision yet be team players; they will need to be well organized, reliable, possess excellent planning, organizational and problem-solving skills.
